It is a scheme for social security and health insurance from the Government of India. Its two main objectives include provision of financial protection against catastrophic health expense by reducing it and secondly, improvements of access to proper healthcare for below poverty line (BPL) families and other vulnerable groups in the unorganized sections of society. A smart card is provided for health insurance that can be used for reimbursing the expenses during illnesses and diseases.
Squaria Global provides end to end solutions through deployment activities in various centers for RSBY. Squaria Global takes care of covering all categories people for the issuing of a health insurance smart card including building and construction workers, licensed railway porters, street vendors, beedi workers, rickshaw pullers, rag pickers, auto/taxi drivers, mine workers and domestic workers. By being a helping hand for RSBY, Squaria Global well coordinates with the plan of the Government that has the target to cover 70 million households by the end of 2017. It has laid a universal health care system and sees forward to make it stronger day by day. The beneficiaries are entitled to hospitalization coverage upto Rs. 30,000/- per annum on family floater basis, this will be applicable to defined diseases in the list. It will extend to maximum five members of a family including the head, spouse and up to 3 dependents. Transport allowance for hospitalization will also be provided.
A biometric smart card is generated for every beneficiary family that is safe and foolproof. Only the real beneficiary can use the smart card. Cashless and paperless transactions can be made in hospitals through fingerprint verification. It is highly portable as the beneficiary can use the smart card in any RSBY empanelled hospital across India. A beneficiary is the one who falls in BPL, Below Poverty Line list prepared by the State Government.
